| Yin yoga is a complimentary style of yoga. It targets the deep fascia and ligaments of the joints as opposed to more yang styles that strengthens and stretches the more superficial muscles. In yin yoga style the poses are entered and exited very slowly, and the actual pose is explored in a quiet meditative fashion for 3-5 minutes with gravity and breath deepening the experience of the pose. | |||

| This class cultivates a state of deep relaxation and healing. The breath, gentle movement and stretching increases our range of motion, invites more life force into our bodies, as well as encouraging a calm and peaceful mind which increases our overall sense of well being and appreciation of life. | |||
| The Body is Awareness : Understanding our Poses from the Ground Up (levels 1-3) *FULL Tuesday 5:30-7pm (January 10th to March 20th. No class Feb 21st) *Wait list available |

| This class emphasizes how different parts of the body work together to create an overall structure of strength and resiliency crucial to injury prevention as well as increasing our range of motion and dissolving tension in our bodies. The approach of mindfulness encourages the student to work “from the” inside out and from the outside in.” | |||

| This class uses gentle yoga postures and movements to release stress, unwind the body and calm the mind. This is a nourishing practice that emphasizes body awareness, self knowledge, and acceptance. The co-ordination of breath and movement facilitates deep release, removing obstacles to well being, spontaneity and joy. | |||
| Learning and Understanding Basic Yoga Poses (Level 1&2) Wed. 5:30-6:45 pm (Jan 11th to March 5th. No class Feb 22nd.) |

| This class emphasizes standing/foundational poses. The aim is to understand how to use, not fight, natural forces and tensions in the body. In learning how to move the body with efficiency, you will discover your potential to reduce the risk of injury and enjoy equanimity of mind. | |||
